Visual Training Solutions Group,
Inc. (“VTSG”) provides low cost, high fidelity, virtual
reality training and simulation systems by merging leading edge software
technology and commercially available PC hardware with superior subject
matter expert content. Additionally, with its training system applications,
VTSG provides an embedded virtual reality instructional environment,
thus eliminating the need for traditional “over-the-shoulder”
support. By utilizing this product architecture, VTSG is able to provide
customers a cheaper, better, faster solution than has been previously
available. VTSG was originally
‘incubated’ by Whitney, Bradley, & Brown, Inc. (WB&B)
of Vienna, Virginia. WB&B provided VTSG management support,
capital, and administrative support. VTSG became an independent
C-corporation with incorporation in July 2001.
John R. Clagett
John R. Clagett, President and
Founder of VTSG, recognized the opportunity to address the US military’s
need to provide its units with deployable, linkable, mission-training
devices incorporating leading edge commercial technology. Mr. Clagett
also anticipated that by developing these military training systems,
VTSG would be well positioned to enter multiple non-governmental,
commercial markets. To date, VTSG has successfully penetrated the
military market. As President of VTSG, Mr. Clagett has led the company
through its seed round of funding and to profitability within its
first year of operations.
Mr. Clagett brings over 14 years of military training process and
procedures experience, including a tour as the head of training
at the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun), and a wealth of
experience as a combat mission commander. Following his service
to the Navy, he joined Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc. as a military
consultant developing mission and weapon requirements for both the
Navy and Air Force. Mr. Clagett has a B.A. in Economics, San Jose
State University.
