the TNO Lab, The Netherlands November
1st, 2005 |
VTSG
is pleased to announce the successful integration of our F-16
PC based simulation package onto the Full-scale Mission Simulation
Center at the TNO Lab, The Netherlands. This project confirms
the viability to integrate a PC based software package into
a high fidelity, simulation center system providing the customer
the ability to run multiple Mission Training Center, Unit
Level Trainer and Personal Trainers from a single core simulation
software package.
This PC based simulation architecture core represent a significant
improvement to supportability and maintainability reducing
life cycle ILS cost by an order of magnitude over current
simulation systems. Additionally the COTS based PC software
architecture allows the customer to upgrade multiple simulation
training devices with a single software effort ensuring a
consistency/ concurrency over the range of training devices
- a constant problem for legacy training devices…”
More to follow in the coming months as we continue to push
the adaptation of technology.
